Double D - BEES

 Dear Ones~
Welcome to summer, it's a HOT one here in Northern Michigan right now. There's a new challenge up over at Double D, and this time it's BEES. Don't you just love bees? I do!!! This is the Mood Board provided for our inspiration:

Here is my card:
This cover die is from a company called Kokorosa. I purchased it a long time ago and I can't tell you the name of the die. I cut it out with gold metallic card stock and paper pieced the patterned paper. So much fun!! I used some lovely paper from Panalisa Craft and the sweet little bumbles are from Hero Arts.

  The Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Tim Holtz Gold Metallic Card Stock
Panalisa Craft Honey flower Patterned Paper
Kokorosa Background Die
Hero Arts Beelieve Stamp and Die Bundle
SU Crushed Curry and Black Ink
Black Ranger Enamel Accents

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win this adorable Sizzix Thinlets die set.  Also, don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created.

So, until next time dear readers, ASPIRE to be INSPIRED.
Here's celebrating your CREATIVE MUSE!!

  1. This is stunning, Judy! I love the quilted look of this die and it looks amazing cut in gold with the patterns inlaid like you did. Truly a gorgeous card! Speaking of gorgeous cards, thanks so much for the wonderful birthday card you sent me. It is adorable as well!

  2. What a FAB background 'puzzle maze' die, love it cut in gold too! Then paper piecing those pretty Designer Papers back in for the inlaid technique was a strike of genius! Love how you pulled the patterned out of the die cut! Great choice in papers too! And your bees....so plump with pollen! This is fantastic, my friend!

  3. It looks like Birgit saw the look of a quilt, but I thought it looked like a stained glass window. I really love the background paper that you used and mostly those big fat bumblebees. A fantastic card my friend.

  7. Oh, my goodness, I LOVE what you did with that cover die! It looks like stained glass to me, but the most fabulous stained glass ever. Brilliant to add the honeycomb in the center with the sentiment, and those bees are plump enough to make sure you know they are the stars of the card. A beauty, Judy!

  9. What a fun grid that die is, Judy, and the patterned paper with the bees emphasizes those that are buzzing across your wonderful card.

  10. Gorgeous design, Judy! The gold metallic looks like the soldered frame around a piece of stained glass art. I love the paper piecing and texture on the bees and sparkly wings! Is that EP? Always inspiring!
