Just a Little Sparkle

Dear Ones~
What a beautiful day here in Northern Michigan. Why am I not out enjoying the sunshine and 60 degree weather? I'm playing in my craft room of course.

Today's offering was made for:
Mod Squad Challenge - silver or pearl in recogniton of lung cancer awareness.
Power Poppy - embellish this.

Here's my card:
This was a pretty simple card to make. I heat embossed those poinsettias from Melanie Muenchinger's A Year of Flowers stamp set using GKD silver embossing power. They are embossed on vellum, then placed behind the "frame" of holographic snowflake paper and popped up using foam tape. Then I embellished with sequins and gems.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
GKD Silver Embossing Powder
GKD A Year of Flowers Stamp Set
Paper Wishes Silver Snowflake Holographic Paper
Paper Wishes Christmas Collection Stamp for Greeting
Stash Sequins and Gems

This card is so sparkly - the photo, of course, doesn't do it justice. You just can't photograph sparkle. Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. Hope you have had a wonderful weekend!!

  1. Oh it's beautiful Judy! I know it's hard to get that sparkle but I believe you!! Have a blessed week !!

  2. Oh Gosh! This is just stunning! You can see al the shimmer and reflected light from that holographic paper, it's pretty cool! I OVE those poinsettias on Vellum (in fact I almost used them too, well from the #2 set--went with the Fabulous Frame flower on Vellum--great minds and all) Perfect sentiment and I love your sequin and gem accents. Glorious!!!

  3. This really is stunning! I love poinsettias any which way, but these are so pretty in silver on the Vellum, and your snowflake frame....OMgosh! All of the sparkle from the holographic paper is magic!

  4. Judy, you sure make happy sparkley cards in your happy room. This is just an example of how talented you are. Using holographic paper is genius and I am sure the sparkle is blinding.
