Happy Snowman

Dear Ones~
This is my second post! I'm on a roll! This offering was made for the Stamp TV October Release Challenge. Gina has invited us to make a Christmas card using the wood grain background technique. I have chosen to use Gina's technique called Carved Wood. You can watch a video she posted showing how to do this technique HERE.

Here's my card:
I decided to go with a blue color palette this time. The Carved Wood Technique is so much fun and I plan on doing it more. And don't you just LOVE that happy snowman? This is one of my favorite GKD stamps from a past kit, Merry Little Christmas.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White and Blue Denim Card Stock
GKD Blue Denim, Ivory and Powder Blue Ink
Paper Studios Lattice Circles Embossing Folder
GKD Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set
Spellbinders Circles Dies
Spellbinders Pinked Circle Die
Various Stash Snowflake Punches
Stash Gems
Nuvo Crystal Drops in Blue

Thanks for stopping by again, your comments mean the world to me. Now go rake some leaves or!!!

  1. Okay, for the record, I kind of hate snow....BUT I love that snowman! He just looks like he is having 'snow' much FUN! Beautiful background--love it in the non-wood like colors! Beautiful texture, snowflakes and all of those Crystal Drops! WOW!!!

  2. Fun, fun, card. Love the happy snowman. This technique is awesome and looks great with your snowman and snowflakes. I have a couple of panels made waiting to become a card and I want to try it using some Inca gold but when I reorganized I put it somewhere different and now I can't find it.

  3. Ya just gotta love that happy little snowman :) Beautiful background and great colors.

  4. Gorgeous blue wood panel for your beautiful snowy card design.

  5. I just bought this stamp set because of this snowman! Great card -- wonderful job on the background, and I love the die cut circle with the snowman in it! Awesome!

  6. I am not sure how I missed this one. That snowman is one that I was sorry that i did not purchase. Love the background with that embossing folder. This technique is going to be a favorite, I can see that.

  7. Beautiful background! What a great technique as a backdrop for your fun snowman. I love this card!
