Happy Fourth!!!!

Dear Ones~
This is my second blog post for today. I'm on a roll. This card has been made for the
This time we are invited to use red, white and blue
and/or stars and stripes.

http://daranddiane.blogspot.com/2017/05/redwhiteblue-optional-stars-stripes.html
Here is what I came up with:
This was a fun challenge. I die cut the Spellbinders Diagonal Chevron cover plate with both GKD Blue Denim and the star patterned paper. Then I inlaid the patterned paper into the blue denim die cut. I love doing that.....so satisfying when the pieces fit perfectly. I had some gold eyelash yarn that I thought would be great to attach to the underside of the star to look the tail of a comet. I dunno - maybe it doesn't look like a comet's tail, but I like it. And I layered a couple of die cut buttons from PTI in the middle of the star.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Blue Denim, Tomato Soup and White Card Stock
Basic Grey Life of the Party Patterned Paper
Spellinders Diagonal Chevron Die
Quick Cuts Nesting Stars Dies
PTI Button Stack Dies
GKD Holiday Frame Stamp for Greeting
Stash Gold Cord on Buttons
Stash Brass Dots

I'm so happy that you stopped by!
Thank you for your wonderful comments.

Hugs~

  3. Fantastic Fourth of July card. Love the cover plate and that you inlaid the patterned paper. The sparkle on the star is the perfect touch. The fringed eyelash yarn does give it the feel of a comet or shooting star.

  4. I was thinking of a Fourth of July card as well but somehow got way laid with foiling these past few days. Yours is awesome and I know soon I will have to work on those for the shut-ins too. I love the dies and sparkle on your card.
