Stamp TV - Bleach Time

Dear Ones~
Today I have a card for you that I am entering into the Stamp TV and Gina K Designs Release Party Challenge, to use bleach on our image.

Here is my card:
This is one of my favorite techniques. By painting bleach on your image you totally change the color. It's so much fun to see what color emerges when the bleach dries. With this technique you need to use embossing powder on the line art. If you don't, the bleach will take away the lines of ink. For the background I used Tranquil Teal and Kraft inks and stamped the Diagonal Stripe Background twice and at right angles to create the plaid.

Here's something cool. I found out that if you put little dots of glue that dries sticky on your image and let it dry it's still tacky. Then just rub transfer foil over the dots and voila, you have beautiful foiled embellishments. TRY IT!!! It's so stinkin' cool!!!

 The Ingredients:
GKD Tranquil Teal & Kraft Card
PTI Rustic Cream Card
GKD Diagonal Stripe Stamp
GKD Geo Thanks Stamp
GKD Rose Bouquet Stamp for Greeting
Spellbinders Beautiful Borders Die

So that's it for me. We have had the Princes with us for a few days and will return them to their mother on Wednesday. They are having so much fun swimming in the lake, learning to fly fish and canoeing. I will be sad to see them go.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments, they mean the world to me. Enjoy your week.

  1. This is so pretty Judy. Love the plaid background. Oh, thanks for the tip about dotes of glue and foil.

  2. This is so pretty! I have only tried bleach a couple of times. I clearly need to revisit it. Thanks for the wonderful tip about the foiled dots...such fun!

  3. Now that is a great way to use transfer foil. WIll have to try it. Love this card.

  4. This is stunning!!! The colors are fantastic! I knew you would love this Challenge, it’s sooooo you! Love the foiling trick, super cool!

  5. Great card! Love the color combo and the background. Thanks for the tip on the foiled dots.

  6. What an elegant card using that bleach technique. You never know what you are going to get. Thanks for the tip for the foiled dots, I think I could use it next time I drop glue on a card. Just foil it.

  7. So gorgeous and I love how you foiled the little dots. I love the look of bleaching and your layout and use of the bleach and dies are so well done. Great colors too.

  8. Whaaa? Really? How does the glue not get smashed when you rub foil on top? You have perfect round balls of foil!! I love your bleaching, too - the whole card is amazing!!

  9. What a beauty this is...a really fab design, too! Will have to try both the bleach and the foil trick (I bought a foil machine several months back and have yet to use it)...oh I can understand about having to send the'princes' home, heck I had a hard time coming home another week we will have my daughter's family visit us at the lake house and one great grandbaby...whoot whoot!!

  10. I have not used this technique for a long time, You are really resurrecting some ideas and tricks that are fun and beautiful. Love your papers and layers and the stamp is perfect for this technique.

  11. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeautiful Judy. You certainly have mastered the bleach technique. Simply stunning. Awesome layout and the DP just a perfect match.
