Mod Squad - Watercolor Stamping

Dear Ones~
It's my turn to host over at The Mod Squad Challenge, and this time I have chosen to do a little watercolor stamping.

Gina K. has been in the stamping industry since 1998 and started Gina K. Designs in 2007. As the business grew, Gina asked her husband Tom to leave his position as an attorney to join her in the business. Together they built StampTV, their online video website featuring broadcast quality paper crafting videos, galleries, social networking for paper crafters and more! You can find her videos HERE. She also offers a monthly card making challenge with a prize. You can find the challenge HERE. Gina now has over 200,000 followers over her various social media networks and video sites from all around the world. Gina’s goal is to continue to offer top quality signature products through her online store Gina K. Designs, along with informative and creative crafting videos.

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store.

This is my card:
For this card I used the Gina K Designs stamp set Wild Blossoms.  I might mention that when doing this technique a solid stamp must be used for best results. The greeting is from the GKD stamp set Scripty Encouragement. I smooshed the ink pads onto my craft mat and then used a paint brush to paint the ink onto the stamp. After huffing on the stamp, I stamped onto my card stock. The inks I used are GKD Fresh Asparagus, Dark Sage, Tomato Soup, Sweet Corn, Sweet Mango, Cherry Red and Wild Wisteria. Card stock is GKD White Heavy Base Weight and Tomato Soup.

Glad you stopped by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge Blog and play along. You could win the prize! I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments.
I hope you all are well and staying away from others. These are strange times, aren't we glad we have our craft to keep us sane?
Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse.

  1. Such a sweet little garden, Judy. You do your watercolor stamping differently than I do but I love your results.

    1. I'm not fully understanding the technique. I'd love to actually see how others do it. Please let me know if you have a tutorial, or further instructions. It's a very pretty technique, but I surely don't know what I'm doing. Thanks so much, and happy crafting.
      Karen L

    2. Hi Karen~ If you read the challenge on the Mod Squad Challenge Blog, there is a link to watch a video that Gina K did many years ago while she still had her StampTV channel. It explains the technique pretty well.

  2. How soft and delicate,Judy
I love how you didn't try for perfect little images, but allowed the subtle colors have that watercolor affect. Delightful !

  3. Simply beautiful Judy. Love your choice of flowers - so delicate.

  4. So pretty Judy! Not use to seeing you do something that is CAS and not layered. Well done! Stay safe and healthy!

  5. So softly beautiful, a gorgeous watercolor design and technique!!

  6. I really love your card, Judy! Wonderful use of the technique with the sweet floral image & glad the challenge got me to use my markers!
