Double D - Flowers of the Month - January Through June

 Dear Ones~
Another challenge is up over at Double D. This time it's Flowers of the Month. We can pick January through June.  Lots of inspiration here.
January Carnations or Snowdrops
February Violets or Primrose
March Daffodils~Jonquils~Narcissus
April Daisy~Sweet Pea~Gerber Daisy
May Lily of the Valley or Hawthorne
June Rose or Honeysuckle

Here's my card:
As you can see, I chose the photo in the bottom right as my inspiration. Sadly, this is meant to be a sympathy card. The roses are from the Altenew Antique Rose stamp set. I think it's one of my favorite rose multi-stamp sets. Very true to life and also easy to line up. That background embossing folder is one of my favorites too. It's Anna Griffin's Matelasse. It has retired and I looked far and wide to snag it. I think I finally found it on Ebay.
 The Ingredients:
 MFT Spearmint Card Stock
GKD White Card Stock
Anna Griffin Matelasse EF
HOTP Oval Doily Die
Altenew Antique Rose Stamp Set
GKD Inks In: *Innocent Pink *Dusty Rose
*Passionate Pink *Cranberry Tart *Edible Eggplant
*Applemint *Grass Green *Christmas Pine

  3. This is beautiful Judy! Gorgeous colors on your roses and a lovely, feminine design. I really like the embossed background. Too bad that EF is retired now. I can see why you took the time to hunt it down.

  4. I think that the color combo is what struck me first. I love the cool minty green with that pink. Really great roses as a layered stamp they look so lifelike. Of course I love that EF too. I almost left if in FL. I went back for a second look and put it in my case.
