Make the Card Challenge - Color Challenge

Dear Ones~

I have been invited once again to be a Guest Designer over at Make the Cards Challenge. I am so honored.

This is a fun challenge blog that changes every week, and there is always something new or different to create.  Our challenge this week is a color challenge, and here is the color:
I love this color, and it's so great for fall. Here is what I did with it:
I have a FABULOUS die set from Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club called Kaleidoscope Tile. It's a multi-layer set which really gives a wonderful 3D effect. I chose 3 colors for the layers with the challenge color being the predominant, and die cut each element 4 times and then placed them in this pattern. I used a Darice Basket Weave embossing folder for the background and a Tim Holtz Shadow Script die for the greeting. Some gold satin baubles from Trinity Stamps, along with some tiny feathers cut with a Poppy Stamps die set and colored with GKD Fresh Asparagus Ink finished off the look.

The Ingredients:
GKD Fresh Asparagus, Warm Cocoa, Dark Chocolate and Kraft Card Stock
PTI Rustic Cream Card Stock
Spellbinders Hex Kaleidoscope Tile Die Set
Tim Holtz Shadow Script Die for Greeting
Poppy Stamps Tiny Feathers Die Set
Darice Basket Weave Embossing Folder
Trinity Stamps Gold Satin Baubles
Stash Twine

  1. WOW! This is just GORGEOUS my friend! LOVE that die and you've showcased it perfectly! SO HAPPY you are our Guest Designer this week! Your creations are always so inspirational! WELL DONE!

  2. So beautiful and I love the way you did the inside of the card as well!

  3. This is gorgeous Judy. Love the die and how you did the inside.

  4. That's a lot of bauble glueing, Judy, but they sure do give an elegant feel to that fabulous layered die cut.

  5. I say that you did an outstanding job with just one color. I looked at it and got no ideas. By bringing in the die, you gave this so much dimension and texture. The baubles are a special addition along with the super cute feathers. Nice job!

  6. This card is so gorgeous! I love it! Thank you for being our Guest Designer this week!
