Can You Handle the Pressure - Butterflies Twist

Dear Ones~
Another challenge is up over at the Can You Handle the Pressure blog.

For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on our project.  Heat (wet) embossing is permitted but only in addition to your embossing folder design.  Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.

The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:

BUTTERFLIES

The twist is OPTIONAL!!
As long as you use an embossing folder, your project qualifies!!!

Here is my card
For this card I used a die called Sensational Butterfly Collage by Memory Box. I first cut it out of metallic gold card stock, and then cut it out a second time with patterned paper from Crafter's Consortium called Ink Drops Vivid. All the patterned paper pieces were inlaid into the gold die cut. Time consuming for sure, but really worth it.  The white panels behind the butterfly are die cut pieces from the Sensational Butterfly Collage die which I ran through a Swiss Dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug. An oldie but definitely a goodie. Those pieces were inlaid as well.

Tim Holtz Metallic Card Stock

  1. A Splendid butterfly for this card and I love that you did it in gold. When you inlaid that white panels you added depth to the card, but it still looks good for mailing. Happy to be here with you today as your guest.
