Dear Ones~
I am very happy and honored to announce that I have been invited to sit on the Can You Handle the Pressure Design Team. I am beyond flattered that they would have me.
For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER
on our project. Heat (wet) embossing is permitted but only in addition
to your embossing folder design. Each new challenge will have a
'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.
The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:
FLOWERS
The twist is OPTIONAL!!
As long as you use an embossing folder, your project qualifies!!!

Here is my card:
I used a beautiful hot foiling plate by Spellbinders called Sweet Bloom Borders and foiled it in gold. It was colored with watercolors and then fussy cut. I used a Sizzix embossing folder called Organic Petals and covered the entire card base with the embossed white card stock panel. Then I adhered the fussy cut border along the edge and added a tiny strip of gold card stock. The greeting was gold hot foiled with a plate by Spellbinders called Yana's Sentiments. For a final touch I added the little gold baubles onto the embossed panel.
The Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Sizzix Organic Petals 3D Embossing Folder
Spellbinders Sweet Bloom Border Hot Foil Plate
Spellbinders Yana's Sentiments Hot Foil Plate for Greeting
Mission Gold Watercolors
Tim Holtz Metallic Card Stock
Trinity Stamps Gold Baubles

ReplyDeleteHi Judy! I am so happy that we ended up on this team together. I look forward to lots of creativity and inspiration moving forward. Your card is absolutely gorgeous. I love hot foiling and you have done an amazing job with it here.
ReplyDeleteThe fussy cut foiled flower is gorgeous, and the embossing folder really sets it off. This is such a fun idea for a blog and embossing folders are really making a come back.
ReplyDeleteI recognized that wonderful foil plate right away, Judy. I have it and love the design. You've colored it beautifully and fussy cutting made the embossed background possible. I'm not a good fussy cutter but I'll have to try that.
ReplyDeleteThis card is as pretty as can be! I tell myself nearly every day that I don't need a foil machine and then talented people like you make me want to reconsider. This is lovely my dear!
