Double D - Beach Time

Dear Ones~
Time for a new challenge over at Double D, and this time we are playing on THE BEACH. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:
I decided to do something different and create a scene looking out of a window. I like to imagine I'm at a summer cottage by the shore and can see the ocean from my window. I have an embossing powder by Emerald Creek called Dirty Sand, and I used it here to create the look of the beach.

The Ingredients:
Close To My Heart Perfect Day Stamp Set
GKD Sandy Beach Card Stock
GKD Warm Cocoa Card Stock
Paper Studio Beach House Patterned Paper
SU Uniquely Artistic Stamp Set
Emerald Creek Dirty Sand Embossing Powder
GKD By the Sea 2 Stamp Set
SU Smooth Sailing Die Set
GKD Master Layouts 5 Die Set
Trinity Stamps Baubles

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win this cute die by Impression Obsession, and don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created.

You should take a minute to swing on over to the Double D Challenge and check it out. There's lots of inspiration to be had there.

Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse!!

  1. Fantastic beach window view! I love what you have created! The worn look of the window wood, the nautical knot and that sweet shell on the sill. What a great little beach path you have created looking out too! Views inside and out! Tom assures me if I get on the roof....in winter...lean to the left....close one eye and squint with the other....we do have an ocean view. I'll just have to take his word for it LOL Great card....can't you smell that salty air?!?

  4. So beautiful, Judy! Love this window view of the beach scene you've created. The EP is perfect for the beach sand. I have quite a few Emerald Creek EPs and love them.

  6. Wow, this is an awesome scene, that sand you created is amazing!! You should enter it at The Sisterhood of Crafters, the theme is landscape. (It is similar to what I am looking at right now, the lake has had seagulls all day perched on the rocks)
