Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are exploring "THINGS THAT FALL". Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:
And here is my sample:
I told my husband what the challenge topic was this time and asked if he could think of some "THINGS THAT FALL". He said, "old people". HAHAHA!!! I honestly thought about making a card featuring old people, but I could find an appropriate image. This card is made with part of The Greetery's Curio Series. I absolutely adore this group of dies. I cut all the elements out of white card stock and then colored them with alcohol markers. I feel like I have better control with creating realistic images with markers instead of just colored card stock. Here's a closer look.
The Ingredients:
PTI Rustic Cream Card Stock
GKD Faded Brick Card Stock
Susan's Garden Specialty Card Stock by Spellbinders
The Greetery Curio Cover Die
The Greetery Autumn Findings Die Set
Dick Blick Alcohol Markers
GKD Inspirational Mosaic for Greeting
Autumn Red Nuvo Crystal Drops
So here we are, making fall cards, where did the summer go?? I hope you are enjoying the change of seasons dear reader!! Take a minute to swing on over to the Double D Challenge and check it out. There's lots of inspiration to be had there.
Until next time dear readers, here's celebrating your Creative Muse!!

This is stunning Judy! I'm a big fan of the curio collection too, but sadly do not own any of them. Seeing your gorgeous fall card makes me want to go shopping at TG. Love this card so much, and your coloring on the leaves is perfect.
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous card Judy, you have colored each piece so perfectly, I have a big want list (always) at The Greetery, sigh!! I love fall but it doesn't stay here long enough for me and being in Michigan we BOTH know what follows!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Rob! All fun and games til I am the old one lol That Greetery Curio is magnificent and what you have created with it is beyond beautiful! Every leaf, blossom, berry and acorn is perfectly stunning! Love the colors and your sponging. This is a masterpiece! I think I have card envy lol
ReplyDeleteThat comment from Rob is precious and after just returning from vacation where the tour guide constantly reminded us to Watch Your Step, it was so true.
ReplyDeleteYou card is a knockout and a supberb example of the coloring that made this an impressive card. I do have that card envy that Donna talked about, and I want that die from TG too. Oh My!
Wait, I need to mention the little hinges and the handle that you added on the front. Incredible!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness Judy...this card is amazing! I totally agree with everything the girls have said about this beautiful card. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Judy ... this is absolutely GORGEOUS! LOVE LOVE LOVE the overall design and the colors scream Fall ... BEAUTIFULLY done my friend!
ReplyDeleteYou accomplished the realistic look, Judy. Your leaves and acorns are fantastic and I love the way you arranged them on the card.
ReplyDeleteJust wow. No words. My mind is blown. I do have to laugh at your husband's suggestion because I have some gnomes drinking beer and one of them appears to have fallen down and is drinking straight out of the keg. Things that fall are inebriated gnomes. I almost used that. Even stamped it and then changed my mind. Later, tee hee!
ReplyDeleteI saw this over at DD first and I was blown away! You have got one gorgeous card on your hands....or should I say made with your hands! AWESOME!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is breathtaking, Judy! Wow, I love the blended colors using markers. The design is just beautiful. The Greetery has the very best dies. I would have enjoyed the "old people" card! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone!!!
ReplyDeleteJudy this is absolutely stunning! I love everything
ReplyDeleteOh my this is so stunning, your coloring is just amazing, lovely Autumn card.
