Dear Ones~
There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure. For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER
on your project. Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design. Each new challenge will have a
'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:
STRIPES
This is what I created:
I adore this old stamp set by W Plus 9 called Happy Birds. They just make me smile, aren't they cute? The blue and gold "stripes" are from an intuitive watercolor panel I had done. I decided to cut the panel up and use it for stripes. And the background is an embossed stripe panel using a Stampin' Up 3D embossing folder called corrugated.
The Ingredients:
Recollections Teal Card Stock
Tim Holtz Gold Metallic Card Stock
GKD White Card Stock
W Plus 9 Happy Birds Stamp Set and Companion Die
Mission Gold Water Colors
Strathmore Water Color Paper
Judy Dots
If you head on over to the Can You Handle the Pressure Blog and
play along, you could win this fabulous embossing folder, it's really versatile.
Don't forget to
check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created while you are there.
Until next time dear reader, ASPIRE to be INSPIRED!
Here's celebrating your CREATIVE MUSE.

The blue and gold looks marvelous! Love the strips of paper going one way and your texture goes another, so cool! Yes, those birds are cuuuuute! FUN sentiment!
ReplyDeleteI got a good chuckle from the sentiment. It reminded me of the gulls on the east coast trip that did exactly that! Those birds are so cute with the blue and gold, matching the stripes too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the birds! They're so fun and funky and it's cute how you've gone with the blue theme all over. The watercolor background stripes are totally amazing!
ReplyDeleteI would have hated to cut up an alcohol panel but you made it look good in stripes, Judy. Those birds are darling.
ReplyDeleteOMG what a FABULOUS card and I love the sentiment! LOL
