Dear Ones~
This will be a quick post for today. I have been very busy with Christmas preparations, as have all of you I know. But I wanted to get this card into the Mod Squad Challenge for this week, Frilly Fun. We are to use two or more dies.
This card was made for the wedding of a dear friend. Her theme was winter, so I thought the snowflakes were so appropriate. Here is my card:
I used several different snowflake dies, a Spellbinders label die, and lots of glitter and silver embossing powder.
Here are the ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Recollections Christmas Glitter Pad
Impression Obsession Snowflakes Dies
Spellbinders Labels 4 Die
Sentiment from my Stash
GKD Ultra-Fine Silver Embossing Powder
Thanks for stopping by. I adore your comments, hope you are having a wonderful holiday!!

Chocolate Snowman
Dear Ones~
Today was a "me" day and I got to play in my craft room. As with most of us right now, I have been very busy with Christmas preparations and the like. SO MUCH FUN!!! But my time isn't my own. Today I have made a card to enter in 2 challenges. STV's Monday Challenge, to do something with Winter Chocolate; and The Mod Squad Challenge, to do something with Snowmen. So I decided to make a Chocolate Snowman!! There's chocolate Easter Bunnies, right. Why not a Chocolate Snowman. And yeah, they prob'ly have 'em.
Here's my card:
He kinda looks like a bird in the photo with his little carrot nose, but not in real life. I glittered him all up and made everything sparkly. And the swirl is gold instead of white, like snow would be. The hat and scarf are paper pieced with some GKD patterned Christmas paper, but it's very old. I don't think they make it any more because I couldn't find it in her store. If anyone knows the name of the pack please enlighten me.
Here are the ingredients:
Hex Die by QuickKutz
GKD Ivory Card Stock.
Recollections Espresso Patterned Paper
GKD Let It Snow and Snowman Wishes Stamp Sets
Cheery Lynn Designs Swirl Die
Gold Foil Paper from my Stash
Thanks for taking the time to stop by, what with the busy-ness of the holidays and all. I adore your comments!!! Oh, and stay warm, my friends!!

Ornaments
Dear Ones~
Oh my gosh - it just won't quit snowing. I can honestly say that it has been snowing off and on here for almost a week. Every day!!! So happy for my cozy little home and my cozy little chair. I'm NOT going anywhere!!!
Today's card was made for the Just Us Girls Challenge . My sweet friend Sharyn is hosting this week and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to play along. This is a color challenge. You can see the colors here:
Aren't they gorgeous??? Just love them. Here's my card:
For some reason I had a hard time coming up with a card for this. Don't know why - I love the colors - just couldn't get inspired. So here I played with some of my Brusho Crystal Colors and a little watercolor in the background. After I had the paper colored I cut out 2 circles with some dies, and turned them into ornaments. A little gold accent and I called it good. You can see the specks of Wow High Loft embossing powder in the background.
Here are the ingredients:
GKD Red Hot, Turquoise Sea and Ivory Card Stock
Bright Red Brusho Crystal Color
Turquoise Water Color
Darice Interlocking Circles Embossing Folder
GKD Let It Snow Stamp Set for Greeting
GKD Gold Embossing Powder
WOW High Loft Embossing Powder.
So that's it for me. Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. Oh, and stay warm, my friends!!!

Snow Globe
Dear Ones~
This little gem has been created for the Mod Squad Challenge this week. My sweet friend Karen has asked us to create a Christmas tag.
Here's my tag:
I have this adorable little stamp set from Fiskars called All that Glitters. It has this cute little snow globe, and different images that you can stamp inside. So here I did some background snow with a stencil, and then stamped the globe on some acetate and cut it out with a circle die. Then, after stamping and coloring the base and snowman on white card stock, I fussy cute that out and glued it behind the acetate. I think it came out pretty cute.
Here are the ingredients:
GKD Powder Blue and White Card Stock
Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil
Embossing Paste
Fiskars All That Glitters Stamp Set
Copic Markers
Stickles
Acetate
So now I need to think about Christmas cards. I have been saying that every day! Time to get crackin'. Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. Oh, and stay warm my friends!!

For Alex
Dear Ones~
It's a lazy, snow-y Saturday, a perfect day to play in my craft room. Hubby is putting up sliced apples in the freezer. He told me he wanted to do it himself - well, okay then!!!! I didn't argue with him too much....haha!!
I am sending this card off to a young man who will be turning 13 on November 27th, Alex LeFevre. Alex is disabled, and here is what his mom posted on Facebook:
Perhaps you would like to bring a smile to this young man's face too! Thanks so much!
Here's my card:
I have a die of my beautiful Mitten, so since Alex's mom wanted us to include where we live, I thought it was a great opportunity to use the die. I also thought that any boy of 13 likes robots, so I went with that theme. Love these papers, they are so much fun!!!
Here are the ingredients:
GKD Blue Raspberry and Red Lipstick Card Stock
Best Creations Robot Patterned Paper
QuicKutz Michigan Die
PTI Circle Scribbles Die

You still have time to send a card to this sweet young man. Hope you will consider doing so!!! Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. And stay warm, my friends!!

Facebook friends, I have a favor to ask. Alex is turning 13 this
year. In years past, he has had lots of friends to a big birthday
party....and he loved it. At 13, well, other kids 'grow out' of that
sort of thing....and even if we did i...t, the party stuff,
while still appropriate for Alex, would not really be fun for his fellow
13 year olds. Alas, I am not trying to be depressing, and he will
still have a party BUT, and here is where you could come in... could
you send him a card on his birthday? In it, can you put WHERE you are
located so we can pin it on a map and get in a little geography at the
same time (hehe!) Maybe even a fun fact about your town or state. His
birthday is November 27, so there is lots of time! Thank you tons!

For Marilyn
Dear Ones:
Brrrrrrr - and that's all I have to say about THAT!!!! Bleh!
My card for today was made for the Mod Squad Challenge. My sweet friend Donna is the host this week, and she has asked us to use a doily on our card. I don't have any ready-made paper doilies, but I think this die would be considered doily-like. I'm going to be sending this to my sister (my one and only sibling) for her birthday, which is this Friday. I love her to pieces, she's my heart and soul.
Here's my card:
I just love this cute little image! It so reminds me of me and my sissy. She is the one on the right with the curly hair, and mine has always been stick straight. This stamp is from Hot Off the Press, and it's called Janie's Girlfriends.
Here are the ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx Card Stock
Paper Studio Olivia's Sweet Shop Patterned Paper
Janie's Girlfriends Stamp Set from HOTP
Spellbinder's Die - don't know the name
Judy Dots

Rings
Dear Ones~
I'm sitting here watching it snow. Can't fight Mother Nature, guess I better get used to it! They say we are in for another hard winter. Oh JOY!!!!
This card was made for the Monday Challenge over at StampTV, Set From the Past. The challenge is to pull out an old stamp set that you have had for awhile. What fun!!! I have so many, it was hard to choose.
Here is my card:
I chose to use a stamp set that I have had for a long time called Elegant Elements. I won this set over at StampTV way back when you could choose a stamp set if you won the drawing. Not sure what year it was released, but it's still for sale. One of the stamps is a ring. I stamped and heat embossed it 3 times, cut the rings out, and interlocked them. I like the way this came out!
This a close up of the rings:
Here are the ingredients:
GKD Ivory, Cranberry Tart and Christmas Pine Card Stock
Kaisercraft Christmas Carol Patterned Paper
GKD Elegant Elements Stamp Set
GKD Fabulous Frame Fillers Stamp Set by
Melanie Muenchinger
Embossing Folders by Paper Studio

Filligree Tree
Dear Ones:
Another post today - it's the second of three I will be doing.
This card was done for the StampTV Challenge , to use only 2 colors of card stock and no patterned paper.
Here's my card:
I CASE'd this from a card I saw over at The Mod Squad Challenge. It's by MeeMee, and here's a link to her blog: http://meemee48.blogspot.com/2014/10/simple-christmas-tree.html
I loved the simplicity and design of her card, but thought I would use a different die for the insert. I used my kraft knife to cut out the triangle for the tree, and placed the die cut behind it.
Here are the ingredients:
GHD White and Cranberry Tart Card Stock
GKD Christmas Joy Stamp Set for Greeting
Top Dog Dies Flower Lace A2 Die

Fraptious Joy
Dear Ones~
Okay, so I'll just say it. It snowed today. Didn't stick, although some places just north of us had white stuff on the ground. Nonetheless, it snowed. Happy Halloween!!!
So today's card will be entered into two challenges. The Mod Squad Challenge, to do a blue Christmas card, and the StampTV Challenge, to use only 2 colors and no patterned paper.
Here's my card:
It's difficult to see in this photo, but I just got some ultra high embossing powder from WOW. the granules are really big, so I just sprinkled them on the card stock and heated them from behind so they wouldn't blow off. I love the texture it brought.
Here's a closer look:
It's really pebbly and fun.
Here are the ingredients:
GKD Ocean Mist Card Stock
DCWV Glitzy Glitter Card Stock
GKD Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set
Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches
WOW Ultra High Embossing Powder

Not Your Traditional Christmas Card
Dear Ones~
It has once again been awhile since I posted here. We had our grandsons for the weekend - so much fun. They are 7 & 9, and are always coming up with something fun and funny.
This card was made for 2 challenges. The Monday Challenge over at StampTV , Christmas Comes Early, and the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge , Anything Goes.
Here is my card:
I decided to do a kind of non-traditional card this time. I love that mother and child image, and wanted to color it to match the patterned paper. Isn't that little leg on the infant just the cutest thing? I heat embossed the image with GKD gold embossing powder, and also gold embossed the mat behind the patterned paper. That way the golds would absolutely match.
Here are the ingredients I used:
GKD Pure Luxury Card Stock in White
Graphic 45 12 Days of Christmas Patterned Paper
GKD City of David Stamp Set for Star
GKD Christmas Joy Stamp Set
Spellbinders Fleur de Lis and Square Dies
GKD Gold Embossing Powder
Copic Markers
Stickles
Ribbon from my Stash
Thanks for stopping by, I adore your lovely comments. Stay tuned for another post in a few.........

Beautiful Bloom
Dear Ones~
Well, this is the first post I have done since August 21st. As many of you know, we were on vacation, camping on the shores of Lake Superior. My hope was that I could share my time up there with you here on my blog. However, the internet was so sketchy that I couldn't upload anything. I was very disappointed.
So anyway, this card today was made for the Mod Squad Challenge and the Stamp Out Cancer Challenge #2 over at StampTV. Both challenges asked us to use pink on our card, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Here's my card:
I love coloring the beautiful floral images from the GKD stamp set Bold Blooms. Here I watercolored the petals, and then hand colored the edging around each petal with gold paint. I just find watercoloring flowers very soothing.
Here are the ingredients I used:
GKD Pure Luxury White Card Stock
Gold Foiled Paper
The Haute Pink Stack by DCWV
GKD Bold Blooms Stamp Set
GKD Fabulous Frames Stamp Set
Floral Ovals and Standard Ovals Dies by Spellbinder
GKD Gold Embossing Powder
Pearls
So there you are. It's so good to be back in my craft room - I have sorely missed it. And I have missed sharing my thoughts and creations with you, my friends. Thanks for stopping by! I adore your lovely comments!!!!

For Dad
Dear Ones~
Once again, it's been awhile since I posted anything. My life has been so crazy this summer. But I guess everyone can say that. And we are getting ready to go up to the UP to camp on Lake Superior for a few weeks, so there's that. We have a small fifth wheel that we take up there to do some fall camping. I'm looking forward to it, but I fear it's gonna be a tad on the cool side this year. I'll let ya know.
Today's card was made for my dad, who will turn 96 in a few weeks. The challenge over at Mod Squad this week is to do a masculine birthday card. Well howdy, and SHAZAAM!!! What a serendipity!

Today's card was made for my dad, who will turn 96 in a few weeks. The challenge over at Mod Squad this week is to do a masculine birthday card. Well howdy, and SHAZAAM!!! What a serendipity!

Cool Blues
Dear Ones~
It has been quite some time since I have done a post. So glad to get back into my inner sanctum and create again. How come summers are so busy? It's supposed to be a time to relax and chill - right?
Today's card was made for the Mod Squad Challenge. The Lovely Lee challenged us to use blue and brown on our card, with one other neutral color.

Today's card has been designed for the Poppy Sketches Challenge . Here are the sketch and colors we were invited to use this week:

I thought this was kind of a fun sketch to play with. I chose to cut a square out of the top of the card and insert the image behind it. You can't see the dimension too well in the photo, but it's there. Then I did a double frame using the green and black from the challenge colors.
These are the materials I used:

Gina K Designs Black Onyx Card Stock
Gina K Designs Fresh Asparagus Card Stock
Graphic 45 In the Garden Patterned Paper

Butterfly Wishes
Dear Ones~
So happy to be posting a card today. They are coming few and far between these days. It must be summer!! (Insert happy dance here). My card has been created for the Poppy Sketches Challenge. They provide the sketch and one other POP. This time it's to use the harlequin pattern somewhere on your card.
Here is the sketch:
And here's my card:
I couldn't find any harlequin paper in my stash. Can you believe it? I have more designer paper than 5 people could use in 2 lifetimes. You would think there would be what I want - but NO!!! So I decided to make my own by scoring some ivory card stock and then stamping the butterfly and leaf images on it. I finished it off with some Liquid Pearls to accent the design. The butterfly has 3 layers, with the last one being out of vellum.
Here are the materials I used:
Gina K Designs Jellybean Green Card Stock.
Gina K Designs Ivory Card Stock.
Gina K Designs Petals and Wings Patterned Paper
Gina K Designs Petals and Wings Stamp Set
Gina K Designs Nature's Greetings Stamp Set
Gina K Designs Spring Basket Stamp Set
Papertrey Ink Button Stacks Die
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
Liquid Pearls

It's been raining quite a lot here. Hoping it will make our gardens pop. That's it for me, thanks for stopping by my friends.

Bleachy Keen
Dear Ones~
Another gorgeous day - how can we be so blessed. And here I am in my craft room instead of outside. Now that's TRUE addiction!!
Today's card was made for the MIUM Challenge over at StampTV. We were charged with using the bleach technique. Now this is one of my all-time FAVORITE techniques, so it was a no brainer.
Here's my card:
This is a little 4x4 card, love making them! There are two ways to do the bleach technique. One is to use a paintbrush to paint the bleach on the image, the other is to use the bleach as an ink for your stamp. I like doing the inking thing, love the effect. The image I used for this card is one that I wasn't sure would work, because it's pretty detailed. But voile, it did. I even was able to stamp the greeting with the bleach too.
Here are the materials I used:
Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Cranberry Tart Card Stock
Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Dark Chocolate Card Stock
Authentique Something for all Seasons Paper Stack
Gina K Designs Love is Friendship Stamp Duo
Fiskars Medallion Punch
Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles Embossing Folder
That's it for me today. I may just have to go sit in the sun for awhile - thanks for stopping by!!

For Josh and Linda
Dear Ones~
Hope your weekend is grand. We have had absolutely STELLAR weather here. It's such a pleasure to look out the window and see green.
The card I have for you today is for the Mod Squad Challenge. We are simply to make an anniversary card. It just so happened that our son Josh and our beautiful daughter-in-law Linda celebrated their 3rd anniversary this past week, so how opportune!
Here is my card:
This card is 5" square. I used one of my favorite stamp sets from Paptertrey Ink called Feather Finery. There is a companion die set that cuts the images out perfectly. Here I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with gold on vellum. This stamp lends itself so well to this.
Here are the materials I used:
Gina K Designs Pure Luxury Dark Chocolate Card Stock.
Recollections Espresso Paper Stack
Gina K Designs Always and Forever Stamp Set Duo
Papertrey Ink Feather Finery Stamp and Die
Gold Foil Card Stock from my Stash
My Favorite Things Die-namics Stitched Circle
A Couple of Heart Punches from my Stash
So that's it for me. Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see ya later.

Red, White, and Blue
Dear Ones:
Hope your Sunday is going well! I have 2 cards for you today. Both will be entered into the Mod Squad Challenge, which is to use red, white and blue on a card. The star card will also be entered into the Just Us Girls Challenge, which is to do the shaving cream technique. This was posted by my wonderful friend Sharyn. The vase of flowers card will also be entered into the StampTV MIUM Challenge, which is to make a card with at least 7 layers. The Mod Squad and MIUM Challenges have been posted by my dear friend Lee.
Here is my first card:
For this card I did the shaving cream technique. If you would like to watch a video by Gina K doing this technique, click HERE. It's a little messy, but oh, so much fun!!! After I used the technique to color the background, I took a piece of GKD Pure Luxury White Card Stock and cut out the 3 stars using a star die. Then I layered that over the background paper, which had been adhered to the white card base. A little embellishment, and I'm done. I used a punch for the starbursts, and some Judy Dots and star stickers. Oh, and some little Enamel Accent dots for texture all over the card front. This card will be entered into the Mod Squad Challenge and the Just Us Girls Challenge.
Here are the materials I used:
GKD Pure Luxury White Card Stock
Distress Reinkers in Barn Door & Faded Jeans
GKD Fanciful Tags Stamp Set
Red & Blue Card Stock from my Stash
Punch Bunch Starburst Punch
Star Dies from Life Style Crafts
Enamel Accents by Ranger
And this is my next card:
For this card I simply layered my patterned papers on top of some GKD Pure Luxury White Card Stock. I stamped the image on the white card stock with GKD Blue Denim Ink and paper pieced the vase. I think it has a real Asian flair, although I didn't start out to make it that way. This will be entered into the Mod Squad Challenge and the MIUM Challenge.
Here are the materials I used:
GKD Pure Luxury White Card Stock
GKD Flowers Bloom Stamp Set by Rupa Shevde
GKD Blue Denim Ink
DCWV Summer Dream Patterned Paper Stack
Martha Stewart Bird Punch
Enamel Accents by Ranger
So that's it for me today. It's been gorgeous here all week, but the mosquitoes are the size of dive bombers, and you can't stay outside very long. Hopefully they will die off with the hotter summer days. So nice to finally have the doors and windows open!! Thanks for stopping by my friends!!

Scribble
Dear Ones~
Well, hello strangers! It's been quite some time since I have done a post, or made a card for that matter. Life sometimes gets in the way - but you all probably know that. Grandbabies, trips to Midland to see my folks, art festivals, etc., etc., etc. It feels oh-so-good to get back in my craft room.
Today's card has been made for the Mod Squad Challenge and the MIUM Challenge over at StampTV. The Mod Squad Challenge is being hosted by my dear friend Nancy this week. She's uber talented, I love her work. Check out her blog by clicking on her name. She has provided us with a sketch to use. Love sketches - all the work is done for you, and you get to just have the fun of picking out papers and stamps. The StampTV Challenge is to use at LEAST 7 layers. No challenge for me at all, love me some layers.
Here is Nancy's sketch:
And here's my card:
I just got this new die set by Papertrey Ink called Circle Scribbles, and I couldn't wait to use it. Isn't it cute? There are three different sizes - lots of possibilities. I think I'll be using it a lot.
Here are the supplies I used:
Gina K Designs Cherry Red and Turquoise Sea Card Stock
My Mind's Eye Collectable Patterned Paper
Gina K Designs Charcoal Brown for Greeting
Circle Scribbles Die by Papertrey Ink
Flower Punches by Paper Studio
Ribbon from my Stash
So that's it my friends. The Hubs is outside mowing the lawn, and I'm getting whiffs of that wonderful fresh cut grass smell. The sun is shining and it FINALLY feels like summer. Life is good! Thanks for stopping by - oh, and happy Memorial Day!!

Girly Deer
Dear Ones~
Good morning, hope this post finds you all well! Today I'm showing you a card I made for the Mod Squad Challenge. My good friend Karen Hightower charged us this week with making a card that you would ordinarily do as masculine, but make it with a feminine flair. Well now, THAT'S interesting!!!! So here's what I came up with:
Haha!! Well, it's different, I have to say that. I received this stamp set awhile ago after I won over at Simon Says Stamp. It was just the ticket for this fun and non-traditional challenge. I stamped the deer silhouette with pink ink and fussy cut it to "mount" on that oval die cut. Not sure this "mount" is one I would hang on the wall...lol.
Here are the supplies I used:
Gina K Designs White Pure Luxury Card Stock
DCWV Pastels Card Stock
Emma's Garden Patterned Paper by Jennifer Ellony
Simon Says Stamp Oh Dear Stamp Set by Kelly Purkey
Gina K Designs Bubblegum Pink Ink
Floral Ovals Die by Spellbinders
So that's it for me. Gotta go to town and buy a carrot. Then maybe I'll head for my craft room again. It's rainy here today, but warm again. So nice to have the doors open. Enjoy your day my friends, and thanks for stoppin' by!

Cupcake Party
Dear Ones~
It got up to 78 here today - it felt HOT. Boy, ya just can't win. But I'll, take it.
Today's card is for the Just Us Girls Challenge. They gave us a sketch to refer to this week. I love sketches because all the layout work is done for you. Here's the sketch:
And here's my card:
I love this little stamp set designed by Kristina Werner over at Simon Says Stamp. She's a very talented lady. Each part of the cupcake is separate, so you can do the different colors.
Here are the supplies I used:
Gina K Designs White and Turquoise Sea Card Stock
Lakeside Patterned Paper by Pebbles
Simon Says Stamp Cupcake Party Stamp Set
GKD Dark Chocolate, Turquoise Sea and Tomato Soup Inks
Die-namics Stitched Circle Stax
Martha Stewart Punch
Judy Dots
Thanks for stopping by - and enjoy the sunshine my friends.

Shadow Play
Dear Ones~
It's been over a week since I have made a card, and I feel kinda rusty - go figure. The weekend was spent cleaning away all the dust that settled on EVERYTHING from the bathroom remodel. The whole house smells like Murphy's Oil Soap, and I love it.
Today's card is made for the Mod Squad Challenge, to make a one-layer card. Or rather, to make a card with NO layers. UGH - this is really, really hard for me. I rely on my layers to make my cards interesting. So, having said that, here's my offering:
I decided to try the faux embossing technique. This is where you first stamp the image with white ink, let it dry, and then stamp again. Only this time you stamp it just a little off the first stamping, and use an ink color that matches the card stock. On this card I used GKD Moonlit Fog card stock and ink.
Here are the supplies I used:
Gina K Designs Moonlit Fog
Gina K Designs Moonlit Fog Ink
Gina K Designs White Pigment Ink
Paper Wishes Wildflower Stamp Set
Gina K Designs Out West 2 Stamp Set for Greeting
Dragonfly Punch from my Stash
White Enamel Accents
White Gel Pen
So that's it for me. I'm looking forward to spending more time in my craft room now that things have settled down in the Woodland Household. Thanks for stopping by - and enjoy the sunshine my friends!!

New Bathroom
Dear Ones~
I thought you would like to see what we have been doing for the last 2 weeks. Our poor old bathroom needed to be remodeled. It was waaaay past time. Our house was built in 1970, and the bathroom has never had any attention. First of all, you need to know that our bathroom is the size of a small walk-in closet. It's a one-butt bathroom. Two people cannot fit in there comfortably. It was great fun having only one bathroom the size of a postage stamp when our 2 kids were both teenagers. We were on a schedule when it came to getting ready for school. You snooze, you lose - LITERALLY! But I digress - time for a remodel.
Here's what it looked like when everything was taken out.
Right down to the bare bones so to speak. UGH!!! What a MESS!!!! That's where the tub was.
Goodbye avocado tub and toilet.....bleh! Sooo glad to get rid of THAT!!!
Our black lab Ebony is helping - she was always helping!!!!
So, after 2 weeks of a mess everywhere, and dust up the wazoo, here is the final product.
I love the shower curtain. Looks like birch tree trunks. And can you see the tiny little cardinal sitting on that ledge in the tub? I love him.
So that's what we have been doing. I must say I'm very happy with the result, and also VERY happy to have it complete. I was getting extremely tired of the mess.
Thanks for stopping by. Sorry, no cards today - make a good weekend my friends.

Gina K Designs Design Team Inspiration Hop April 2014 Day 3
Good morning, and welcome to the final day of the Inspirational Hop for the April Stamp Release.
The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina, along with the Cast, Crew, and Guest Designers, will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them, because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the BigNews Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.
Our final 2 stamp sets from the April Release are just gorgeous. The Fleur di lis set is illustrated by the very talented Beth Silaika, and then we have the Golf Diva, illustrated by the extremely creative Debbie Corbari. Both sets are so much fun to play with.
Here they are:
My first card for you today is from the Fleur di lis set:
The fleur di lis were stamped on patterned paper from the Colorbok Neutrals Patterned Paper Pack, then circle punched and layered on GKD Dark Chocolate Card Stock. I used GKD Soft Sand Card Stock for the card base and layered the patterned papers from Colorbok Neutrals with GKD Dark Chocolate. I love the masculine look of this card.
My next Fleur di lis card is very feminine:
Here I used patterned paper from a stack by K & Company called Julianne. It was a gift from my dear friend Donna. The card base is GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, and I used GKD Dark Chocolate for layering. I stamped the fleur di lis on ivory card stock with Warm Cocoa ink, then cut it out with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die. Other dies used are Spellbinders Ribbon Buckle, and Our Daily Bread Beautiful Borders.
Next I have 2 cards for you from the Golf Diva set.
With this little gal I used GKD Innocent Pink Card Stock for the base. The green is from my stash. Patterned papers are from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack. I stamped her on GKD White Card Stock and colored her with my Copics. Then I cut her out with an oval die and layered it on a Lacey Oval die cut. I used Judy Dots for embellishment and the ball is a little dot of Enamel Accents.
And here is my final card for the April Release Blog Hop:
This little diva likes rustic golfing. I stamped her on GKD Ivory Card Stock, colored her with my Copics using the colorless marker for the polka dots on her shirt, and then fussy cut her out. I used a leaf stamp from Ruba Shevde's Flowers Bloom stamp set to stamp on a rectangle with GKD Fresh Asparagus ink, sponged a little sky on there with Memento Summer Sky ink, and layered it on the background patterned paper from the Pebbles Lakeside stack. The "green" is embossed with an embossing folder from Paper Studio, don't know the name. Everything is layered on a base of GKD Sandy Beach Card Stock, and then embellished with Judy Dots. The ball is a little dot of Enamel Accents.
