Mark It, Stamp It

Dear Ones~
This week I am hosting over at the Mod Squad Challenge. I am calling the challenge Mark It, Stamp It because I am asking players to color a stamp with markers and stamp. This is a wonderful alternate way to use your stamps. It gives a lovely soft, watercolor look. I LOVE it.

Our sponsor this week is Gina K Designs and Stamp TV
 Gina K Designs Craft store
Stamp TV is a free online community featuring card making, stamping techniques and project videos for paper crafters using stamps and other products by Gina K. Designs. Be sure to check out StampTV for a ton of great videos and techniques. They also have weekly challenges. Shop Gina K Designs.

THE PRIZE
A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store.
Here is card #1:
For this card I used an older stamp set called Hello Sunshine. This was originally from a STV kit. I used my Zigs and colored the stamp with yellow and green. Then I stamped it on some GKD White Card Stock. I colored and stamped the image 3 times for a field of flowers. The butterfly was colored and stamped the same way.
Here is card #2:
For this card I colored the stamp with a lighter shade and then used a darker one in the middle for more dimension. Shading can add real character to the image.

  2. Your challenge is creative as your cards are. There are so many techniques out there, that I often forget about the simplest ones, and they are usually the best. Love the bright yellow on the first one and the softer colors on your second card.

  3. That's a technique I haven't thought of in years, thanks for the reminder. Both your cards are beautiful. Love how you made a field of flowers in the first one.

  5. Gorgeous cards! I haven't used that technique for a long time. I'm going to have to try it with the Zig markers. Lovely colors!
