Double D - Don't Bug Me!

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are playing with BUGS!! Here is the wonderful Mood Board provided for our inspiration:

And here's my card:
I have had this Stampin' Up Beetles and Bugs stamp set for awhile. Don't ask my why I wanted it, I just like it. It's a multi-step set so you can do several colors. I stamped the images on some vintage-look patterned paper, cut them out with my circle punches and then applied several layers of Baked Textures Vintage Bees Wax embossing powder. I love the way they turned out. The background is Distress Oxides smooshed, and then I applied some gold Ultra High Texture embossing powder. I also used some Baked Textures Ancient Amber embossing powder for the circles in the lower left corner.

Here are the Ingredients:
SU Island Indigo Card Stock

I would love it if you would stop on over to the Double D Blog to see what the other designers have created. And if you play along you could win this assortment of butterfly, ladybug and insect stickers for card making. How FUN!!!!!

  10. For being bugs they look pretty darn good, Judy. I'm curious about the Bees Wax embossing powder. It gave a great look to the circles.
