Double D - Poinsettias

Dear One~

This time over at Double D the challenge is to use the iconic Poinsettia. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:

I wanted to use dies to make my poinsettias, but alas I have none. So I used this Orange Blossoms die set, and I think they did the trick. I die cut a bunch of them and sponged the centers with a nice Cranberry Tart ink. I used an Anna Griffin embossing folder and splattered it with gold paint. The centers of the poinsettias are done with Martha Stewart Microbeads.

  3. Gorgeous! I would have never know that this was not a poinsettia die. The background EF is amazing. I think I need it, for sure. Microbeads always look awesome as flower centers, but boy...they can get out of control quick!

  8. I thought it was a poinsettia die until you mentioned it. Love the background with gold spatters and the white branches behind the flowers. The micro beads really work for the centers. Wonderful card.
