Double D - Sunflowers

Dear Ones~
Happy fall, y'all!!! The challenge this time over at Double D is SUNFLOWERS!!! Here's the Mood Board for our inspiration:

Aren't those photos GORGEOUS!!! The colors are amazing!! Here's my take:

I stamped that gorgeous sunflower from Gina K Designs called Thankful Heart, illustrated by Hannah Schroepfer Drapinski, on Bristol, colored it with my Zigs, and then I cropped it to use only part of the image. I added a black mat and was laying it on the card base to see what kind of patterned paper and such I wanted to use, and I thought wow, it looks pretty just like that. I think it really makes the image pop and I love the clean and simple look. The Greeting is from that same stamp set.

 The Ingredients:
GKD White Heavy Weight Card Stock
GKD Black Onyx Card Stock
Strathmore Bristol Paper
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
GKD Obsidian Amalgam Ink
Trinity Stamps Baubles

  2. So pretty and happy, Judy! This card made me smile immediately. Love the sunflower among the pink. All of the surrounding white is perfect and makes the flower really the main focal point.

  6. Beautiful coloring. I love how you pulled a little of the orange into the leaves. All the white around the flower really makes it the star.

  7. OMG! This is eye popping beautiful! Great coloring, I can see the sun shinning on the petals of the flower. Just leaving it on the white, was a super move.

  8. Oh, my, what a gorgeous sunflower stamp and so beautifully colored! Your card needs nothing more than the pristine white to let the image shine. The beauty of a large stamp is that you can use the whole thing or any part of it. Wonderful, Judy!
