Dear Ones~
There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure. For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER
on your project. Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design. Each new challenge will have a
'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:
STARS
Here is my sample:
I don't really have much in the way of stars in my stash, but I do have this Stampin' Up star die set. It's pretty and I think it works. I have been playing with watercolor backgrounds, so I used one of the panels that I had created, and there are silver stars stenciled over the watercolor. Hard to see in the photo, but they are there. I have some holographic card stock from Michaels and I used that for the embossed panel. I also embossed the glittered card stock.
The Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Recollections Holographic Card Stock
Stash Glitter Card Stock
SSS Lumen Embossing Folder
Mission Gold Watercolors on Strathmore
SU Starlight Thinlit
Spellbinders Elegant Occasion Sentiments Glimmer Die
Gold Hot Foil
If you head on over to the Can You Handle the Pressure Blog and
play along, you could win this fabulous embossing folder, it's really sweet.
Don't forget to
check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created while you are there.
It's HOT!!! And HUMID!!! And that's all I have to say about that.
Until next time dear reader, ASPIRE to be INSPIRED!
Here's celebrating your CREATIVE MUSE.

WOW! What a gorgeous card my friend! Sure to bring joy & comfort!
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful and elegant!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is brilliant (and I really mean that), so gorgeous and shiny, it's perfection!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous water colored background, the colors look FAB! That holographic paper is so cool and I adore that star die. Magnificent!
ReplyDeleteI am looking at all of the details on this card and there are many! Your background is super cool, and I adore that you framed it in holographic paper. A stately design to complement that star with the blue glitter paper. That star is Amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou made that background?!!! I would have guessed it's designer paper as it's so exquisitely beautiful! Your star-like snowflake has found a perfect home here. Gorgeous, Judy!
ReplyDeleteWow absolutely gorgeous sympathy card. I bet this really shines.
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card, Judy. I love your stars, glimmer, snowflakes and color choices. Lovely from top to bottom. Thanks for the inspiration. I made a card for this challenge, but mine won't post until the day this challenge ends, so I can't enter. Perhaps I can enter the next challenge. Time seems to slip away from me so quickly. Time with my grandbabies seems to take center stage these days, and I'm rather loving it to be honest.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week, and if you're up for a short (5 stops) Blog Hop, come and hop with us at RRR for a chance to WIN some fab prizes. Here's the link:

All I can say is WOW! Every detail added to this card is just stunning and I would never have thought to use a star like this on a sympathy card, but it works! Beautiful!!
