Dear Ones~ There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure. For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on your project. Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design. Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.
The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:
THE LETTER "F"
This is my card:
I chose FEATHERS AND FERNS for my letter "F". I think these little birds are just so sweet. I die cut them with watercolor paper and painted them with Tim Holtz Watercolor Pencils. Very fun. I die cut the PRAYERS die in two different colors and then offset them a bit for more dimension.
The Ingredients:
GKD White, Black Onyx and Turquoise Sea Cardstock

OMGosh, I love seeing all the different ideas for this "F" challenge! Your birds are so cute! I'm such a nut for bird dies, but I haven't seen these. Your watercoloring of them is so pretty, I thought it was designer paper. Wow! Love the fern background and the whole works!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! FAB colors! I adore that sweet little bird! Loving that black die cut beneath. I also have that Prayers set, great way to showcase it by the offset layering! This is just pretty all over!
ReplyDeleteThe color blend on those sweet little birds is wonderful, Judy, and they look great combined with the Fern embossing.
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, the colours and wonderful images make an exquisite card xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the colors you used, and the birds are so charming. I love making cards and I'm always looking for new techniques and trends to try. I give cards to my employees and family members often. Always plenty of people to give cards too, it's a lost art!
