Dear Ones~
The Day of Love is almost here - Valentine's Day!!!!! So what better topic to have for our next challenge than HEARTS. Here's the Mood Board for our inspiration:
This is my sample:
I made this card for our son. It's hard for me to make masculine Valentine cards, but I think this one will do it for him. I am really beginning to enjoy and use digital images, mostly purchased on Etsy. These images are from Tracy Fox's collection - LoveJunkJournals.com . I love her work. This is a mini slimline, and I did a collage of hearts atop an embossed white panel.
Here's a closer look.

This is fabulous Judy, and just perfect for a masculine valentine's card. I've been using lots of printables lately too! So many amazing things in this crafting world. ;0) I love the tones of blue and how they take on a metallic look. Very sweet for your son!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you have successfully made a fabulous masculine valentine card. Josh will love it. The blue and silver look amazing and on a slimline dry embossed background. Loving that sentiment, a good reminder that we will always Love!
ReplyDeleteYour hearts are fabulous! I really thought you worked your magic with alcohol inks and wanted the YT Tutorial lol Gorgeous! I think this is a perfect masculine Valentine! Have never really jumped on the whole digital band wagon but I do have a ton of images saved--maybe someday! This is spectacular!
ReplyDeleteOH WOW! This is fabulous and just perfect for your son!! The blue is different but just perfect!! Great thinking Mom!!! Amazing design ... you go girl!!

What a beautifully put together, artsy heart card, Judy! LOVING the lavish colors in your hearts, and the way you have landscaped them across your card! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteI fall more in love with this card every time I look at it. I didn't even see it as a masculine card, but since you mention it, yes it's perfect! A beautiful design, perfectly balanced. Gorgeous! I loved digis until my printer turned into a headache, sigh.
ReplyDeleteStunning masculine Valentine! Love these true blue, vintage looking hearts. The white and silver background really make them pop. Your son will love this card. I'm getting into using more digis too and either saturate the color or print the as a photo. You made a beautiful creation with these heart digis.
ReplyDeleteThose hearts are individual works of art, Judy, and together they make a fantastic valentine.
ReplyDeleteAwww Valentine cards are my favorite! I love the inspiration photos you picked. The card for your son turned out great too! I think the blue is perfect for a masculine Valentine's Day card. I might be biased because it is my favorite color haha. I actually just had my kitchen cabinets painted a similar blue. Happy Valentine's!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so funky and fun. I love the papers you used. The blue is fantastic!!
