I
don't know about you, but I'm TIRED of winter. Well, except for all my
friends in the Southern Hemisphere, I suppose you are tired of the heat.
I was in the mood to make a little spring card - it can't be far away,
right? I have had this adorable hat die set by Altenew for awhile, and I
thought it was time I gave it some love. That lattice background is a
coverplate die, and I found some pretty patterned paper to place behind
it. Using the SU Cane Weave and Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders on
the hat gives it a nice texture. Truth be told, I would love a fun hat
like this to wear.
It's a new month, and time for a new challenge over at A Cut Above Challenge Blog.
Challenges
are on a monthly basis
and posted on the first Monday of the month at 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)
and ending on the 28th of each month 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) with the

posted on the 30th of that month. The theme is always anything goes with
a die cut. However once in awhile we will throw in a theme for you, or
just do anything goes. Entirely up to you. This time it's just anything
goes.

Any project is welcome but MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE DIE CUT defined by using a die cut machine, not a purchased pre-fabricated die cut. ReplyDeleteBoy I sure get it as your card smacks of spring and summer and just plain warmer weather. I sure don't blame you as you seemed to get a LOT of snow this year. Genius to use the embossing folders for the texture on that hat. (I would love one too). Yes, I am in Florida, but it has not been hot here, instead, the weather has been just the best. I know that is bot what you wanted to hear from me. I am still that brat.
ReplyDeleteI love your hat! You had just the right embossing folders with small patterns to dress it up and make it all the more touchable. Such pretty paper behind the lattice, and gorgeous flowers in the foreground. I see this as a most lovely Easter bonnet. I'm sure ready for spring!

ReplyDeleteThis is just delightful, Judy! The floral paper behind that awesome background plate is beautiful. That lovely hat is just waiting for some gardening to happen. Wonderful, and I love the embossed texture on it. Pretty flower embellishments.
