Dear Ones~
Today was a beautiful Northern Michigan day. I'll take it. And this weekend promises to be spectacular, I can't wait.

Here's my card:

I used ivory card stock and stamped the Sea Bubbles stamp from Designs by Ryn with Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. GKD Birthday Blessings Stamp Set
Tea Dye and Victorian Velvet Distress Inks

Whimsy

Dear Ones~
Oh, I have had so much fun playing in my craft room today. The card I'm sharing will be entered into two challenges:

Mod Squad Challenge, hosted this week by my dear friend Joyce, who has asked us to make a card of encouragement.
Just Us Girls Challenge, which this week is a photo inspiration challenge.

Here's my card:

I love this new stamp set by Dyan Reaveley for Ranger called Clearly Doodle Parts. Just picked it up a couple of days ago at Hobby Lobby and couldn't wait to use it. Also used POTP Serentipity Flowers Stamp Set for the border, butterfly and greeting. I did the smooshing technique for the background with Distress Inks on watercolor paper. Can't tell you what the colors are because I found it in my stash of "play papers". You know, where you play with your colors and then just stash the papers away for later. The images are colored with Distress Markers as well as Fine Tech Pearl Colors in gold, and then accented with my white gel pen. I love the whimsical effect I got with the white pen. Oh, and there's that little laser cut wooden bird that I colored with Distress Makers.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Innocent Pink, Ocean Mist and White Card Stock
Tim Holtz Distress Inks
Dylusions Clearly Doodle Parts Stamp Set
HOTP Serendipity Flowers Stamp Set
Fine Tech Pearl Colors Watercolors
MFT Hybrid Ink in Black Licorice
Tim Holtz Distress Markers
Uniball White Gel Pen
Stash Gems

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. That's it for me, I'm outa here.....

Ginkgo

Dear Ones~
It's been snaining all day here - rain and snow together, in case you didn't know. Ha ha - UGH!!! I am so done with this stuff!!

Today's card has been crafted for the Papertrey Ink Challenge, white on white with die cuts and a pop of color. Kind of a fun challenge, and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, this week is Clean and Simple.

Here's my card:

I love this die and stamp set. It's called Harvest Berries, but I don't know why. It's ginkgo leaves for sure. One of my favorite shapes. This challenge was a little more difficult than I thought it would be. Mostly because you need to have the right die or it just looks like a blob. I stamped the image with GKD Sweet Mango Ink and then went over each line with a Wink of Stella Glitter Pen in kind of a dark peach color. Then I put white dots on each leaf with my gel pen. I kinda like the effect. Oh, and that heart is gold foil, but you would never know by the photo. Don't know what happened there.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White Heavy Weight Card Stock
PTI Harvest Berries Die and Stamp Set
PTI Botanical Silhouettes Stamp Set for Greeting
GKD Sweet Mango and Charcoal Brown Ink
Wink of Stella Glitter Pen
Signo White Gel Pen

So that's it for me today. I adore your comments, thanks so much for stopping by!!

je t'adore!!!

Dear Ones~
This will be short today. Just wanted to enter the Just Us Girls Challenge. This week we are to use brown, white or ivory and one other color.  Here is my card:

So kraft is brown, right? I chose Ocean Mist as my other color. I just love this combination. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder after I had stamped the text background with Memento Desert Sand Ink and one of the stamps from Flourishes Wild Roses. I think I won that Flourishes set from my dear friend Sharyn Polesel when she had some blog candy up for grabs. Thanks, Sharyn!!! In retrospect I think I would have used GKD Kraft Ink instead. It would have shown up better. Anyway, then I colored the image with Distress Markers. Love the look of the white line art and then the color on kraft. Finished it off with some white Enamel Accents for the little dots. That's supposed to be a heart next to the greeting, but it's wonky. It's the way the stamp is.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Ocean Mist, White and Kraft Card Stock
Memento Desert Sand Ink
VersaMark Ink
GKD Charcoal Brown Ink
GKD White Embossing Powder
Flourishes Wild Roses Stamp Set
Ranger Enamel Accents
Distress Markers
Stash Rhinestones and Ribbon

So that's it for me, thanks for stopping by. I adore your comments. And head on over to Just Us Girls and check out the challenge. The designers are super talented!!

Drops

Dear Ones~
Just a quick post today. It has been glorious outside - I'll take it. Supposed to rain tomorrow, but we need it badly. Forest fires are a real danger this time of year in Northern Michigan.

Today's card was made for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, to make your own background, and the Designs by Ryn April Customer Creation Challenge. I have been wanting to get this water drop stamp inky and finally got to do it today.

Here's my card:
Isn't this stamp fabulous? You can just about feel the wetness of those water drops. I used my Brusho Crystal Colors to make the background and then used the Mixed Media die by Tim Holtz for Sizzix to cut out those wonderful holes. It give it so much texture. The droplets were colored in with Aqua Markers after I did the background. Then I used my white gel pen to add highlights, put on some Stickles for sparkle and then Glossy Accents for dimension.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx and Vibrant Violet Card Stock
Brusho Crystal Colors on Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Sizzix Mixed Media Die
Kindred Spirits Stamp Set by HOTP for Greeting
Designs by Ryn Sideways Droplets Stamp
HOTP Flourishes Die
Aqua Markers
Stickles
Glossy Accents

Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Sunday. Hope your week is fabulous and you have some time to get inky. I adore your comments, and if you haven't already, I would love it if you would follow my blog.

Wings of Beauty

Dear Ones~
Oh My Gee ~ what awesome weather we had yesterday. Sunshine and 67!!! Today it's raining, but it's 54, and the beautiful spring flowers are loving their drinks of refreshing rain. Spring is all about rain and sunshine to make things grow!

Today's card was made for the Mod Squad Challenge, hosted by my dear friend Joyce this week. Her challenge is to make a butterfly the focal of your card. LOVE this challenge, butterflies are one of my favorites! They make any card look good...haha!!!

Here's my card:

This card is very clean and simple, and it certainly spotlights the butterfly. I used the Flourishes So Distressed Stamp Set for the background, and stamped it in Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. I love using the images from that stamp set - they make great backgrounds with very little effort. I cut the butterfly in black with a Stampin' Up butterfly die. Then I glued it onto a piece of watercolor paper, colored it with Distress Markers, and fussy cut.

Here are the Ingredients:
Stampin' Up Butterfly Thinlits Die
GKD Black Onyx and White Card Stock.
Flourishes So Destressed Stamp Set
Flourishes Mother's Words of Wisdom Stamp Set for Greeting
Wild Honey Distress Ink
Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink
Distress Markers

That's it for me today. It's been awhile since I posted anything - life gets in the way. We had our sweet grandsons here for most of the week last week and I was VERY busy. I adore your comments dear readers, appreciate the love!!
