Dear Ones~
Just a quick post today. It has been glorious outside - I'll take it. Supposed to rain tomorrow, but we need it badly. Forest fires are a real danger this time of year in Northern Michigan.

Today's card was made for the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, to make your own background, and the Designs by Ryn April Customer Creation Challenge. I have been wanting to get this water drop stamp inky and finally got to do it today.

Here's my card:
Isn't this stamp fabulous? You can just about feel the wetness of those water drops. I used my Brusho Crystal Colors to make the background and then used the Mixed Media die by Tim Holtz for Sizzix to cut out those wonderful holes. It give it so much texture. The droplets were colored in with Aqua Markers after I did the background. Then I used my white gel pen to add highlights, put on some Stickles for sparkle and then Glossy Accents for dimension.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx and Vibrant Violet Card Stock
Brusho Crystal Colors on Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Sizzix Mixed Media Die
Kindred Spirits Stamp Set by HOTP for Greeting
Designs by Ryn Sideways Droplets Stamp
HOTP Flourishes Die
Aqua Markers
Glossy Accents

Thanks for stopping by on this beautiful Sunday. Hope your week is fabulous and you have some time to get inky. I adore your comments, and if you haven't already, I would love it if you would follow my blog.

  1. YOWZA! I want to pop those water drops! I love the colors and the white hi-lights, it is a pretty fantastic stamp, I hope Barb gets a kick back for sharing that video. I love your background and that stencil , you use it so masterfully! Like everything else you create! This is just gorgeous!!! Oh and now that I see Sarah's artwork in the background, it reminds me of cool is that?

  2. I want some water drops too! I thought you had glazed them but instead the white gel pen accented them so well that they looked so realistic. Wow! I love the card design you created and the colorful background too.

  3. Had to stop by from the FB group to admire your card and pin it for my BBCB board. Of course I have the Brushos, the water droplets and the TH die- I love how you put them all together for a cool card. I love everything about this card. It is so colorful and the water drops teal the show. No Donna, I don't get a kick back. She is too funny, right Judy?
