Can You Handle the Pressure - Snow People AND Some Other News~

 Dear Ones~
There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure.   For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on your project.  Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design.  Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.

The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:

SNOW PEOPLE
 Here's my card:
I love these sweet little images from Gerda Steiner called Snowman Friends. I did a little paper piecing and a little coloring with my Zigs, and I was all set. The design is simple, but I'm all about that lately. I put some Sizzix Expand Paste on the snowman's hat. So much fun to watch it puff up when you take the heat to it.

The Ingredients:
SU Cherry Cobbler Card Stock
GKD White Card Stock
SU Christmas Patterned Paper
SSS Filigree Snowflake Embossing Folder
SU Oval Layering Dies
Gerda Steiner Designs Snowman Friends Stamp Set
SU Teeny Tiny Wishes for Greeting
Sizzix Expand Paste

If you head on over to the Can You Handle the Pressure Blog and play along, you could win this fabulous embossing folder.  Don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created while you are there. And I can't wait to see all your wonderful designs!!

AND NOW FOR SOME OTHER NEWS~~
We have a new and exciting challenge which began on January 4th. It's called WORD POWER.

This is a monthly challenge that beings on the FIRST Thursday of each month and ends on the LAST Thursday of that month.  There will be badges for a Winner & Top 3 available.

WORD POWER is a challenge blog focusing on using the many sentiment/word stamps & dies we all have in our crafting stash.  Our objective is to create projects that, as soon as the recipient opens the envelope, the first thing that catches their attention are the WORDS/Sentiment on the front. This can be a Phrase Sentiment stamp/die or a Single Word but if it's a single word, it must be large enough to catch their eye ... NO LITTLE ONE WORD sentiments will qualify for our winning badges and could be deleted.

We hope you'll come join us in this new adventure!
All the details can be found HERE.

Until next time dear reader, ASPIRE to be INSPIRED!

  5. What a sweet, sweet little snow family,, aren't they cool! ;) Very cute image and your coloring is perfect, they feel chilly--but in a good way! Love that puffy stuff--I have some from years ago, some kind of applique, wonder if it still works--it is OLD!

  6. The snow people are adorable, Judy, and that puff stuff is really puffy. I have some puff embossing powder but it doesn't puff up like that.

  8. Awwww, cutest little snowlady & friends! At first I thought the little ones were snowchildren, but then I saw what appears to be snow-wings so now I'm guessing they're snowbirds. I love that! What a sweet scene, Judy!
